“The best part of Summer School was meeting and living with other like-minded people from all around the country and learning a course that my university doesn’t offer. Networking with other like-minded individuals is an experience I cannot put value on.”

FAQs about Catering, Kitchen & Kitchenette facilities:

Kitchen Facilities in the Apartment (TRL Building):
All AMSI attendees will have access to a kitchen, including a fridge, kettle, toaster, stove/oven, sink, dishwasher, and microwave, as well as plates, cutting boards, utensils, and pans. However, please note that you will need to purchase your own food. Additionally, over 60 other attendees will also have access to these facilities. St Andrew’s can’t guarantee availability early in the morning, as everyone will likely be having breakfast around the same time before the conference.

Utensils & Cups/Plates:
It’s a good idea to bring your own cutlery, cups, and plates, just in case, as the College does not have enough for 60 people.

Kitchenette Area (Link Foyer, TRL Building):
St Andrew’s also has a small kitchenette area on the ground floor with a toaster, kettle, microwave, and fridge as an alternative option to use.

Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner purchasing meals on the day:
Unfortunately, it’s not possible. St Andrew’s does not sell one-off meals for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as they don’t operate like a hotel.

Dinner:
There are numerous restaurants near St Andrew’s, as it’s a student-friendly area with many affordable options. The team at St Andrew’s College will prepare a list of restaurants and send it to you closer to your arrival.

Lunch:
You will need to research cafes and restaurants close to your conference location, as the conference will not be held at St Andrew’s.

Optional Breakfast at St Andrew’s:
Based on the number of responses St Andrew’s has received, the team is pleased to offer a buffet breakfast for the group. The package includes a buffet breakfast from January 7th to January 31st, at $18 per person per day. If you’d like to reserve this option, please let Yulia Alder know by December 12th and include any dietary requirements you may have. The package deal needs to be pre-paid by December 12th.

Breakfast – Payment:
Once St Andrews confirms your breakfast reservation, an invoice will be sent. Please note that they do not accept payments on the day. The breakfast package deal must be pre-paid by December 12th.

Breakfast Menu (available ONLY to attendees who purchase the breakfast package):
Please see below an example of breakfast for your reference. Menu options may vary slightly each day.
